🪐 Topology Overview

The Federation fleet is organized into functional layers: Administration, Compute, and Storage. All nodes communicate over the primary 192.168.1.0/24 subnet.

🛡️ Administration & Gateway

  • Gateway (192.168.1.1): Primary routing and firewall.
  • memory-alpha (192.168.1.13): DNS (Pi-hole), Documentation, and Monitoring (Grafana).

🧪 Compute & Applications

  • starfleet-compute (192.168.1.35): Primary app host (Immich, Nextcloud, Plex).
  • risa-recreation (192.168.1.21): Dedicated game server hosting (CS2, Palworld).
  • holodeck-subspace (192.168.1.11): Media automation and download services.

💾 Storage & Data

  • ds9-truenas (192.168.1.100): Central ZFS storage. Provides NFS shares to the entire fleet.
  • defiant-backup (192.168.1.4): Dedicated Proxmox Backup Server.

🛠️ Infrastructure Layer

  • proxmox-host (192.168.1.5): Physical hardware running the Proxmox Hypervisor.
